One call covers the rough stage, the final detail, the floors, the glass and the touch-up before the walkthrough — rather than multiple vendors on multiple schedules, each waiting on the last.
Post-construction cleaning can happen in three distinct stages: rough clean, final clean and touch-up clean. Depending on the project, 3-B'z may handle one stage or all three.
Rough clean. The heavy stage, done while trades are still on site. Construction debris and packaging get cleared out of the way, subfloors are swept and vacuumed, and surfaces are wiped down so the next trade isn’t installing finishes onto a layer of dust. On larger builds this happens more than once — it’s the stage that makes everything after it possible.
Final clean. Once the tools are out and the finishes are in, we clean the property as a property: room by room, top to bottom, every surface in the room rather than the obvious ones. This is the longest stage and the one most people mean when they say post-construction cleaning.
Touch-up clean. Between the final clean and the day someone walks through, a job site keeps producing dust and handprints. The touch-up visit catches what has settled since — glass, fixtures, floors, a scuffed baseboard — so the first impression is the one you paid for.
Fine construction dust is the reason this service exists. It settles on every horizontal surface, and then it settles again the next day, which is why we work in a set order — high to low, dry to wet, room by room — instead of cleaning the same floor three times.
Floors get treated according to the finish, whether that’s hardwood, tile or stone. Baseboards, trim, door frames and doors get cleaned rather than cleaned around. Cabinetry is done inside and out, drawers and shelves included. Kitchens and bathrooms come down to the fixtures, hardware, sinks, tile and appliances. Windows, glass and mirrors are cleaned along with the tracks and frames where construction grit collects and stays. Light fixtures, vents, switch plates and the high-dusting work that needs a ladder are part of it, not extras.
We also remove what the work itself leaves behind — drywall dust, paint specks, adhesive, and the stickers and label residue on glass and new appliances — and finish with the detailing that gets a property ready for a walkthrough, a showing or the owner moving in.
New residential construction is the core of it, from single homes to large custom builds. Renovations and remodels are the other half — often harder than new builds, because the dust has to be kept out of the parts of the house that are already finished and lived in. We clean larger and high-end properties where the finishes are unforgiving, and commercial construction where the same standard applies to a bigger footprint.
Most of this work comes to us through contractors, builders, developers, interior designers and property professionals who need a clean that holds up to their client’s inspection, not just ours. Homeowners hire us directly too, usually at the end of a remodel that has taken longer than anyone planned.
